Asking for Directions in Arabic – Essential Vocabulary List

Asking a stranger for directions in Arabic-speaking countries can often be easier than you may think, as many Arabs, especially in tourist and historical places, do speak both Arabic and English. In fact, many English speaking Arabs are often very helpful when it comes to assisting others with directions.

However, you may get frustrated if you can’t understand the road signs and travel instructions, especially if you feel that you’re about to miss anything you may wish to see or visit. This is why it is recommended that you at least know how to ask about directions in Arabic and learn some useful Arabic travel-related words before you hit the road. Godspeed!
